COPD Clinical Trials at Temple Lung Center

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) remains a major cause of morbidity, and many patients continue to experience symptoms despite optimal therapy. As one of the world’s largest and most experienced COPD research programs, the Temple Lung Center offers access to clinical trials evaluating new pharmacologic, device-based, and comprehensive treatment approaches.

These studies are designed to improve lung function, quality of life, and long-term outcomes for patients with moderate to severe disease and are delivered within our fully integrated, multidisciplinary COPD program.

Program Highlights

  • Access to therapies not widely available at other centers

  • Multidisciplinary evaluation to match patients to the most appropriate trial

  • Care integrated with Temple’s comprehensive COPD team

Participation in a clinical trial may provide appropriate patients with access to emerging therapies while helping advance the future of COPD care. Each study includes specific eligibility criteria, and patients are carefully evaluated to determine the most suitable option.

The chart below highlights trials that are actively enrolling or opening soon, along with a triage pathway to help guide referrals. Evaluations can be performed at any of our clinical locations.
